Nebulous is a personal tool that runs on its owner's own computer. It is not a hosted service, and it has no servers, no accounts and no other users.
Videos and captions are sent only to the platforms the owner explicitly selects for a given post, using that platform's official API. Nothing is sent anywhere else. There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no third-party data sharing. The software's author receives no data of any kind.
The application reads only the owner's own account name and profile identifier, which the platforms return when the owner signs in. It does not collect, request or store information about any other person.
All data stays on the owner's computer until they remove it. Disconnecting an account deletes its stored tokens immediately. Deleting a post removes its video file. Deleting the application's folder erases everything it has ever stored. Access can also be revoked at any time from the security settings of the Instagram, Threads, TikTok or Google account concerned.
The database and configuration files are restricted to the owner's user account. When the application is made reachable from the internet, every page requires a private key except the temporary video links used by Instagram and Threads to fetch a video during publishing; those links stop working once publishing finishes.
